Gua Bao burgers with Fiorani Organic Hamburger

Ingredients

For the Gua Bao

  • Gluten-free flour 350 g
  • Sugar30 g
  • Brewer’s yeast 5 g
  • Extra-virgin olive oil 20 g
  • Salt2 g
  • Water180 g

For the burgers

  • Fiorani organic hamburger
  • Soy sauce 2 spoons
  • Dried fennel 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar 1 teaspoon
  • Salt1 teaspoon

Preparation

Knead

Mix the flour, yeast and sugar in a bowl. Add the water a little at a time and knead.

Oil and salt

Knead for a while then add the oil and salt, then knead some more until the Gua Bao dough comes away from the sides of the bowl.

Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with cling film and leave to rise for 3 hours, until doubled in size. Meanwhile, marinate the Fiorani Organic Hamburger in a bowl with soy sauce, fennel seeds, sugar and salt. Massage into the burger and place in the fridge to rest for 2 hours.

Flatten

When the dough has doubled in size, place on an oiled surface and divide into 10 equal parts, form each one into a ball and flatten with a rolling pin, then fold over. Posiziona ogni bao buns su un foglio di carta forno e lascia riposare per 30 minutes.

Cook

Steam the Gua Bao for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the hamburger on the grille for 3-4 minutes each side.
When cooked, place the burger in the baked Gua Bao and garnish with lettuce. Serve the Gua Bao burger hot.
